Sampan Snack-n-Snooze

Back aboard our sampan, we have lunch (prepared by our boatsman before we left the dock and thus of questionable culinary safety), and all stretch our for a siesta. Rice, noodles with...pork? Chicken? Green beans with beef (we think). And teensy-tiny shrimp. (Note toilet-paper roll--that would be our napkins.)

This looks like such fun, yes, the shrimp may be small, but you are sitting on your dining table in bare feet!!! And the captain of your boat is also your chef du jour. What did it taste like??

And Jan, you look so relaxed and happy.

Actually, that's our guide, Pech. ("We will now have the lunch component of our tour.") If you'd seen the conditions under which our meal was prepared by our captain and chef (and sous-captain/sous-chef), you'd appreciate my apprehension about this meal. I think all that ailed me derived from Cambodia. :O
